When one observes an icon, they surrender to it, to be uprisen and to mature together with it. It changes them and it changes itself. An icon becomes as great as ones faith does. It becomes an active creator, witness and judge of ones spiritual development, while they are awakened as an artwork in progress, a fresh substrate yet to blossom into life. This is why I never consider my icons completely finished.
I have chosen the saints by my own preference, or theirs, as they meant to me in particular times of my spiritual growth.
Collection of icons “Apotheosis” is a sincere call to you, not only to see the icons, but, by your own soul act, to also finish them.
